Brian Larson, President
· Mr. Larson has over 25 years of management experience with several major hotel companies, including Hilton Hotels, Interstate Hotels, Promus Hotels, Wyndham Hotels and Joie de Vivre Hospitality. He is currently the principal of his own
· Mr. Larson was principally involved with the development of The Citizen Hotel/Grange Restaurant and Bar in Sacramento, a Joie de Vivre property (developed by Rubicon Partners/Cal West Hotel Partners), as Managing Director for the project before he started his own company.
· Mr. Larson served as General Manager for several hotels around the country in New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Lake Tahoe, Seattle, Phoenix and elsewhere. He was the Managing Director and Partner of a boutique historic mansion hotel in Newport, Rhode Island. He has been on the opening team of 7 different hotels and resorts, 5 as General Manager. He also has served as Food and Beverage Director in several hotels and began his career as an Executive Chef in Madison, Wisconsin.
· Mr. Larson has served on several corporate wide committees for Interstate, Hilton, and Promus (Sales & Marketing, Technology, Brand Standards, and Food & Beverage). He was on the Board of the Sacramento Hotel Association, the Hotel Council of San Francisco, and served as the President of the Washington State chapter of the American Hotel and Lodging Association, as well as other hospitality industry leadership positions with Convention and Visitors Bureaus and municipal organizations. He currently serves on the board of the Sacramento Convention and Visitors Bureau.
· Mr. Murakami has 20 years of management experience with several major hotel companies, including Merritt, Interstate/Meristar, and ITT Sheraton. He is currently the General Manager for the FountainGrove Inn in Santa Rosa. He has been the General Manager for 4 different properties and has worked with the major 3 brand companies targeted by Halo Hospitality: Marriott, Starwood and Hilton.
· Mr. Murakami has experience as an Asset for RLJ Hotels, where he was responsible for a portfolio of 32 properties, where he was instrumental in a major asset disposition in which he led the successful effort to take the property out of brand default; positioning it for a stronger asset valuation.
· Mr. Murakami has been recognized with several awards, including Meristar’s General Manager Award for Sales Excellence, Manager of the Year and others. He has served on numerous boards including the Santa Rosa Convention and Visitors’ Bureau, the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce, the Sonoma County Tourism Bureau, and similar positions in the Bay Area and Southern California.
· Mr. Murakami’s career focus on Revenue Management, revenue generation and troubled assets are critical to the strategies set forth for Halo Hospitality.
